"I just cannot really believe that one week has gone by so fast already! I love it here in Hurricane but as you can probably tell the temperature is not exactly my favorite. It is so beautiful down here. After my mission I simply must go hiking down here I have talked with some of the members and they tell me that there is a lot to be done. We are actually planning on going to Zion's next P-day which I am really excited for. Anyways the work has been good, we spent a lot of this last week trying to find some people to teach...On the fourth we only worked till 4 then we had a district activity and had to be back in our apartment by 9. Luckily we were able to city the city fireworks from our house. I was reminded that day in my studies of the great prophecies and promises that lead to the foundation of this great country. That this country came forth as fertile soil so that the restored gospel could be planted here. I feel blessed to have been born here and to be able to serve here on my mission. I don't know why anyone would want to serve anywhere else. Walking down State Street everyone honks and waves like you are some famous person. The people pay for about every meal I eat and the members are so willing to work with the non members. It is truly the best mission in the world...For every moment that gets tough though there is a sweet spiritual experience that outweighs the bad...I also can't believe it has almost been a month since I entered the MTC time just flies here especially when we have a lot of lessons scheduled in the day. I have found that prayer and obedience are the keys in being able to feel the spirit when we do what he wants us to we can find so much more direction in our lives..."
We are so glad Elder Christensen is doing well and we are so very proud of him!
