First Letters

We received our first letters form Ammon today. He is having an incredible time in the MTC. He says, "Yes I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! It has been one of the best experiences that I have ever had." The second day Ammon was in the MTC, he was called as a zone leader which means he is in charge of multiple districts of missionaries We are all so proud of him. He let us know of the immense amount of missionaries in the MTC right now and that just the other day, he ran into his cousin, Shelly.  His companion is 6' 7" and from Brumlee, Idaho.
"I just love it here so much and know that I am being truly blessed for serving the Lord. As my companion and I teach our investigators I find that words come out of my mouth that I have no idea where they came from. I sometimes plan a whole lesson with my companion for hours and then we go to teach and the spirit will tell me what words to say instead of the guided lesson planned that we had originally planned. I know that the spirit guides only as I put in the work."
We can already tell that he is going to be a wonderful missionary! He will be flying out of Salt Lake and into Saint George Wednesday June 26th. Before his flight we will receive a phone call from him...the last until Christmas. Sending love your way Elder!

Ammon to the MTC

Ammon flew to Utah this Monday and spent his last days going to the temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with his family. His father took him to Utah and they had meals at all of Ammon's favorite restaurants Buffalo Wild Wings. While eating his wings, he enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers play baseball for the very last time. We wish you all of luck in the next two weeks at the MTC Ammon! Sending love your way.
